Mr Yoon, the previous president, got 5 years for his role in the insurrection. Mr Han, the second in command, gets 23 years. Ain’t that some shit?

From my understanding, the Slate truck is financially backed by Bezos, but it is not an Amazon property. That said, it could still very well fall victim to what you’re concerned about. If anyone knows otherwise, please correct me.

I would love an electric truck, and no one in my friends group would make fun of me, because my friends aren’t pieces of shit.

lol, look at OP’s only other post. Looks like another account for my block list.

I feel like very few people must be using jQuery nowadays, but I suppose this is good news for those who still are.

*Watches in American*

Thanks. That was… a lot.

Damn, this is the first time I’m hearing about this guy being a piece of shit. Would love to hear people chime in with the shit he’s pulled for others like me to see.

It’s a frame from the movie Idiocracy.

I always wonder how these things are determined. Does a 6th grade reading level mean that you cannot read above that level (simplifying here), or just that you generally don’t read above it? Never in my adult life have I taken a survey/test that would generate the statistics like this that we always see, nor do I know anyone that has (which isn’t to say that they aren’t happening). If the media being generated for me is written at a lower level, and that’s what they are basing these types of statistics off of, that’s not reflective of my abilities. Don’t get me wrong, my country is beyond fucked, but I’m not really a fan of how the author of this article tried to make their point (and I’m not just talking about the reading level statistic).
I was hoping to read more about the self cleaning process, but it sounds like it’s just an antibacterial spray down after every use. I wonder what happens when there are physical items left about. Toilet paper on the floor, syringes left behind, etc. How do you keep the seat from being wet every time someone goes in? If they aren’t hooked up to water and sewer lines, how frequently are they manually maintained? I’m not saying this isn’t a good thing, just that I have a lot of questions that aren’t answered in the article.
Edit: speech to text fucked my shit up

Personally, I wasn’t particularly enthused with the character. I didn’t gravitate towards her at all. If they did something like that, I’d still check it out because SNW was so good, but I’d rather see something with Ortegas (not as captain, obviously).

Finally, it is critical that the leadership of DHS actively steer away from politics and partisanship, which obviously hurts the Department’s ability to carry out its critical missions.
Remember, this was written 5 years ago.
I think the majority of Lemmy users are Reddit refugees, not because they got banned, but because of the Reddit API changes that forced 99% of the third party apps to shut down.
I love Lemmy, but I block so many more users than I did on Reddit. Just a reminder for everyone that you can block people. 🙂

For anyone interested in this, I would also recommend reading the original dev diaries: https://www.jordanmechner.com/en/books/journals/
I really enjoyed the read, personally.
Yes, but going for and receiving are entirely different things. As far as I’m aware, the only thing he is currently receiving is the 5 years (but not everything is settled yet). Seeing as how they gave the second in command over 20 years, I’m hopeful that they will actually dish out some real consequences. We’ll see.
