Its sorta funny because often times the top of the line processors with bad cores were recycled into lower end processors. Seems perfect for this situation with a ramp up in production for industry and then sell the lower level things to consumers.

thanks for replying as I have the strangest thing right now where I don’t see my post in the community and I came close to thinking I had not done it (you know like when you do all the stuff then don’t hit the button or something) and came close to posting it again. Hey @rimu@piefed.social this is not necessarily a piefed thing but I don’t see this post of mine in comics@lemmy.ml from this morning and your the only one I know who might be able to check something like caching or replication or something I don’t know the term for. I mean there are likely others but im like 99% sure you might be able to comment with something useful.

Our and all surrounding communities have a day set where you put the tree out. I think two. One for fast taker downers and also another for 3 kings day folks and as a backup for anyone who missed the first date. They send a truck with a woodchipper around and then all year give out free mulch on request (its also from tree trimmings and such). I was under the impression this kind of thing was really common even for rural communities.

To me it comes down to how often. Sure maybe you went to a party before anyone knew about this guy once or even went to his island or something when he invited you but I find it hard to believe someone went to his island and decided to go back or keep hanging with him or going to his parties. That being said there have been progressive folks going way back. My folks were kinda amazing for silent generation and the ones fighting for civil rights go way back before boomers. I mean. Jane Adams.

Well I mean not every gen Xer is a ceo. As an Xer myself my main thing is that the feeling was everything is bullshit but maybe over time (view from high school) we will get better. We just need to not put up with bullshit and over time technology and politics will improve to the point that there is less bs. So one of those things did progress. For awhile anyway. Whelp its pretty clear improvements have pretty much stopped or more like any we get are along with many more detriments. I don’t know what to do but one thing was the boomers in good jobs did not retire so for my own part I have responded to promotions (to be clear kinda bullshit promotions) by saying hey go to the younger guy who is like a millenial but maybe they have enough time in their career to make something of the position. Heck millenials should try and push down further. People need to be doing things before they hit 40 to have time to keep getting experience and rising. Just to be clear this is not all nicey nice on my part. We are talking about. Hey how about you become the manager but as part of that you do all the work you did before and likely be asked to reduce headcount and all for no extra money but you know you will be able to not be part of the group that gets the ax for now.

That thing about the more you know about economics. We have to “invest” in our own retirements and its all just leves of scam. Without regulation investment is a dart throw. I mean companies can borrow money to buy their own stock. common!

The closest I have seen to pro israel is more im staying out of it either because of the way the whole area is or the ive got problems of my won in my own country and if we fix them then can worry internationally. I never understood why countries allowed digital payments like this. It effectively is like giving up monetary soverenty. Of course later I realized its because debt has been used for currency creation now.

well us just having a alternative keeps it being in one place and then there are other things like slashdot or any other competitors. piefed does a good job of grouping things (kinda comics seems to be split in at least two topics). Personally I don’t want to be in one place with everyone on the planet as I don’t like many people. I want a place with somewhat like minded folks just like I would with a club or bar or whatever.

I mean it might be the field but in my time in IT the longest position I have had has been 10 years. I think my average tenure is like 5 years.
