Nice list, though do be careful with Shift (browser). It’s Chromium based and so heavily dependent on Google’s continued development.
Just your friendly, neighborhood, geek who loves to crochet.

I would probably evaluate it based on what sort of gains could be expected and for how many people? If it’s only going to be a couple of percentage points for a couple of people, then I would say don’t bother. But if it could make a substantial difference, or impact a larger portion of people, then that starts to sway the decision.

Depressing. Not surprising.
Also, I want that shirt now.
I can’t see the pictures at all. Neither on my desktop (web browser, Firefox) or on my phone (Voyager)

Why not just let Firefox open the PDF? It will read them on its own. Is it missing a feature you need?

There is no recall but the license was revoked due to not following proper food handling procedures, so it’s still icky.

I agree with the premise that each person does what they can, when they can.
However we can’t forget to also put pressure on the giant conglomerates pumping out oil/gas emissions without consequence. No matter how vegan we go, it will never be enough if the big corpos keep getting away with being the worst outputters.

The Interac debit system is Canadian. I would like to see it expanded to include a credit division that does credit cards like Visa/MasterCard, but since we are a much smaller market than the US, we wouldn’t have nearly as big of a cushion if there were to be any sort of major fraud activity. But for me, local purchases are always debit. I only use my CC for purchases where my debit card isn’t accepted (which is basically only online shopping).
Beautiful!

I really don’t think spelling is where we should be spending our energy. I’m all for sticking with the Elbows Up idea, but this seems like too small of a hill to die on.
I work for SaskTel so make of these statements what you will.
SaskTel is not perfect. We do what we can to ensure good coverage for the people of Saskatchewan at decent prices. Unfortunately the SaskParty has been chipping away at us via underfunding and headcount mandates. This makes it much harder to keep services supported as well as they should be.
SaskTel is under attack. Quietly. Stealthily. All in an attempt to prove that it would be better to sell to private interest. If anyone else is here from SK, please don’t vote SaskParty. They are quietly killing our crown corps (SGI, SaskPower, and SaskEnergy too).

It hasn’t been easy to keep. The SaskParty is dangerously underfunding it and is whittling it away. Privatization by stealth is in force hard.
We also have SaskPower, SaskEnergy, and SGI all as Crown corps. So our utilities are all decently affordable. Which is very surprising, but one nice thing to living out here. Even if I am surrounded by crazy conservatives.

There used to be public Telecom companies. They were called Crown Corporations. There is only 1 left in Canada (Saskatchewan’s SaskTel). The other provinces that had them sold them off. No surprise prices went crazy.
Should we have kept them? Yes. Are we going to get them back? No.
If you break it down on a per capita basis, there is a higher concentration of cases in AB due to their significantly lower population than ON.

Yes, this is true, but studying any antibodies at all is better than destroying them.

So these birds, that have clearly been exposed to and survived avian flu, which therefore have antibodies to said avian flu, are now being destroyed instead of studied for potential prevention measures? This seems absurd and wasteful. I agree that they should have been treated as study cases to help us find ways to vaccinate or otherwise alleviate avian flu instead of…as the cartoons so aptly showed ostriches doing…burying our heads.
I understand why the decision was made. It just feels absurdly shortsighted.
I don’t hate all Albertans if it makes you feel any better.
I think Danielle Smith and her UCP is the problem, but I know that when tensions get high, some overly broad generalizations get made because in order for Danielle to be in power there must have been at least enough people that agree with her to vote for her.
I don’t think ALL Albertans are a problem, just the ones that think like her.

Wouldn’t it be slander? Since it was verbally spoken Slander would apply. Libel is regarding written statements.
Either way, I agree with you. It was a disgraceful thing to say and should have consequences.

I haven’t needed one since I somehow managed to uninstall the new one and downgraded it to the Windows 7 version of the photo viewer, but ImageGlass looks nice!
I use Aegis
