The MAGA godfather isn’t serious about becoming president — that’s not the point. Instead, he’s told allies he wants to shape the debate and pressure Republican candidates to embrace an “America First” agenda — including a non-interventionist foreign policy, economic populism and opposition to Big Tech.
It reads to me like fake opposition like we see in most hollowed out democracies.

Do Americans really think they’ll get to vote again? Interesting.

Solange der Artikel auf Deutsch ist und die Fakten direkt oder indirekt von internationalen Bedeutung sind (wie in diesem Fall), passt es mMn. Aber es gibt Mods dafür :)

Though Oreshnik stole the show
Putin trying to cope with being shown how things are done by his Trumpy buddy? The US stole the show in Iran and in Venezuela, making Russian struggles in Ukraine even more pathetic.
Perhaps Russia will be inclined to test that next, should Zelensky or the West continue their naughty provocations.
Nice fan-fiction text and Schadenfreude, it’s really sad.
Many called for Russia to strike Kiev with the Oreshnik as part of the retaliation
This really shows how disturbed some people are.
I don’t know why I did it to myself to read this biased mess of a website, but it was entertaining in its own way.

It will probably go on as all totalitarian regimes go: either a lot of blood and then hopefully freedom again, or Russia Reloaded. The pigs in charge for sure won’t leave anything willingly, you have to hang them by the feet (in a Mussolinian way I mean) if you want to break out of it… Any day spent whining and protesting peacefully is one day closer to the end of democracy and one day less they have to really fight. The moment democracy is being shit on is not on the next Election Day, it’s right now.

Yep, I also have a feeling they are singling out weak targets to appear strong, nationally and internationally: blackmail Ukraine, plan luxury resorts in Gaza, kill unarmed people unprovoked, kidnap the head of one of the weakest states on earth, threaten a starving country (Cuba), defund universities and humanitarian organizations.
They can be seen kneeling when Putin offers a shoe to polish and when they have to play the victim of hostile trade.
Sorry for going on a tangent. The frustration is real.

Dear Amis, it looks more and more likely that you will have to kill and get killed to come out of this fucked up situation you put yourselves and the world into. I’m just hoping Central Europe will be - for once - spared from the violence we will unfortunately see in the next decades, as there is where my lazy ass sits…

Well, “plan to legislate” is something more of a hope lifeline than a true sign, I’m talking more of actual implementations, but I see your point.

Good, but it will be hard and slow after decades of lacking foresight. The fact that we stuck ourselves in this situation is crazy. I really hope Europe gets a big enough shock to start think again, but I’m not really seeing signs of it…

I’m concerned that anybody could think such spearheaded attacks could bring anything but chaos. I agree on Greenland, kidnapping a high value target with a flashy operation has nothing to do with conquest. Successful US dominance was based on diplomacy, imo Trump overrates military supremacy once deprived of diplomatic credibility.

How do I vote for you? Such compelling arguments!

I don’t think global order has ever really existed.

I think he fears death a lot, which brings him to splatter his name everywhere he gets to. Many chances to piss on it for the next generations!

Not the Onion?

I like to think anyone who ever tried it got mad in the process.

I think some scenes are supposed to be, yes (I didn’t mean the whole episode): the petrol station scene or the window golf mainly. In most other cases, fully agree with you.
…never did before?!
Ja, aber in Rom niemand wird wirklich 30 fahren, eher 60. Ich bezweifle dass es in Italien einen spürbaren Unterschied macht, die Grenzen sind sowieso nur Randnotiz.
