Boost for Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it possible to save the position?English
1·2 years agoI believe I may have some issue with this phone… As I commented on another thread, it’s been taking a long time to start every time I reboot it or turn it off and on. The animations when I switch apps also have been pretty slow (just to you have in mind, when I unlock it that 3 navigation buttoms in the bottom takes between 1 to 2 secs just to show up. And that same sluggish feeling when doing other tasks also. I’ve tried to swipe the cache partition a couple of weeks ago, but it didn’t seem to work. The interesting part is that it wasn’t that slow. As for the battery, yes, it wasn’t unrestricted but I configured it that way as suggested by another user here.
I thought about doing a factory reset, but I have a couple of apps (banks, etc) that prevent me doing that…
Anyway, I’ve noticed that it isn’t a Boost related issue and I don’t want to bother you guys any further with possible Android issues in a no related community.
I do appreciate everyone’s help.

Boost for Lemmy@lemmy.world•Is it possible to save the position?English
1·2 years agoThanks for helping.
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy A32. And now that I’m looking more closely to its behavior I noticed that it’s not only Boost that does that.
Anyway, the funny part is that some apps (Sync for Lemmy being one of these) seems to never loose its state, no matter what I do.

1·2 years agoIt’s a Samsung Galaxy A32. Would it qualify as older and/or lacking RAM? Now that I’m thinking of it it’s been taking ages to start every time I turn it off or reboot…

1·2 years agoNot my case, I guess… I got a Samsung A32 and never modded it.

2·2 years agoYou know what? I think you may be right… Boost seems to reload each time I switch apps. But that’s funny, because that behavior doesn’t happen with Sync, for example. In order to test I’m using both (and a couple of other apps too). Each time I come back to Sync it’s exactly in the point I left. When coming back to Boost I reloads and I go to the top of the posts.

I like using this app. That’s why I’m asking if it already has the feature I need or, if not the case, if it could be implemented so that it becomes even better to use.
I second that. I’ve been using it for a couple of years, syncing calendars and address book with both my PC and my Android smartphone (using DavX) and never had any problems.

4·2 years agoI’ve been using Obsidian for a while and syncing my notes using git but I’m looking for alternatives. Does this app support sync? May I use it on both my PC and my phone?

11·2 years agoMaradona, empanadas and tango. Surely the best stuff Argentina ever produced. 🙂
Kodi / LibreELEC has add-ons available to most of the most popular streaming services. The trouble is that it hasn’t the necessary licenses for playing content in the best resolutions (the same goes with most browsers). I myself have a Homatics R 4k Plus (which is a licensed box) and installed CoreELEC. When using Android I can stream my content in the highest resolutions (Star Plus, HBO Max and Disney Plus) but when using CoreELEC I can’t.
Hmm… shouldn’t it be tagged nsfw?

1·3 years agoI didn’t know this option. Will certainly give it a look.

7·3 years agoI second that.
With the additional advantage that rclone has modules like crypt and join, which allows you to keep your data encrypted no matter which cloud you use, gaining more cloud space by joining clouds, etc.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I’ll certainly git it a try.

Supersonic is a pretty nice player indeed.
It’s really sad it’s not that well integrated in KDE Plasma. I believe it’s based on Adwaita, or whatever it’s called and it’s not as aesthetically pretty as native KDE apps. Also (and I think that is really annoying) it’s impossible to maximize / close to the system tray with a single mouse click the way other applications work (Cantata or Elisa, just to name a couple of better integrated Plasma music players).
I’ve tried several Linux Subsonic compatible music players and Feishin and Supersonic are the best ones.
Btw, besides Navidrome and Jellyfin it also supports lms, that is the streaming server I like most.
