Thanks for that. I will be hearing it for days now.

Bit choosy isn’t she. What about the subordinate to men part of Christianity? If she is a true believer, she needs to be a good little girl, quit her job and go home.

Some, not all. And who I stay in touch with changes over time. I have many aunts, uncles, cousins and the next 2 generations so it isn’t possible to keep meaningfully in touch with everyone. We have a pretty good grapevine so information eventually filters through.

I don’t think they are stupid. I think they are greedy and cruel. In the past that could lead to them getting ahead of their fellow Americans. The reality is that they are now in the pool of people who are hurt by greed and cruelty and they were willfully blind to it. Many GOP voters would still vote for exactly what is happening to them right now if only it would affect people they hate (everyone) more than it affects them. American “exceptionalism” and “individualism” contributed to this.
Tell me you are 60+yo without telling me your age.

Is this real or AI fake?

Every oil company has bankruptcy in their plan for leaving AB. If they don’t purposely bankrupt their current company, they plan to sell to a subsidiary with no assets and then put it into bankruptcy. Standard oil business practice to take all the value while never paying any of the liabilities.

If by ‘people’ we mean rich men who have no regard for other people and feel they are outside the law, then yes, people. Better to call them what they are rich criminal men. Those criminals are the ones they are afraid of hurting not the actual victims of their abuse.

I think it is about opening the eyes of the racist ICE supporters that in fact they are not safe from what they have initiated. Even if they cannot make the jump to being decent human beings caring about all people, they usually care about what happens to themselves.

Which means, as the law is being followed in the US right now, only the plebs at the bottom might be held responsible.
Do they all leap over the plastics?

No problem. I already killed having a Netflix account - too American.
It isn’t always a one way street. Many women realize that they prefer wealth to true love and willing seek out whomever has the fattest wallet as the person they want to be with. They tend to see relationships as transactional and don’t want to settle for less than top payment. I had a couple university friends like that and they were very open about looking for the highest bidder, age wasn’t a consideration.
I don’t think I have ADHD however, it was often the norm to try to cultivate a ‘jack/jill of all trades’ skillset if you weren’t born wealthy.

Someone should, very remorsefully, run over that judge.

Same as the US voting in Trump, the warnings were there before the vote.
Canada’s land area didn’t change. It’s still second only to Russia, I believe. It simply doesn’t show as 4x the size of some other countries in this map version.

The thing is, everything has gone exactly right and to plan for Trump and his cronies. All he meant to accomplish was making himself billions, making his family and friends billions, and keeping himself out of jail. Ten months into his term, he has accomplished that. He may even get the remaining 3+ years to continue the grift. Anyone who seriously expected different, is insane.

Awful however now even worse with Trump pardoning a real, not imagined, drug lord. Death without trial (or evidence) for potential and most likely poor drug runners but freedom for a convicted drug lord because he could pay Trump off.
Very sad. He did get an ECG and blood test early in his visit. Obviously they did not conclusively show that he was having a heart attack.
Chest pain being a heart attack is easy to diagnose after the fact and not nearly as easy to diagnose before.
Many things from serious to benign can present like a heart attack. I have gastro issues that present exactly as a heart attack and when I end up in the ER they have to go through the whole process of eliminating heart attack before treating what we know from history is the gastro related problem. My aunt died of a massive heart attack a couple years ago in similar circumstances to this man, in a reputably ‘good’ ER. I know the staff were doing what testing they could. They cannot put every single person who comes in with severe chest pain and no ECG or blood enzymes abnormalities into a cath lab. They need something to go on and in fact not every heart attack clearly announces itself as such. Even if the media thinks it was a no brainer - after the fact - pain alone is not nearly enough to diagnose a heart attack. Just like cancer, not everyone is going to have the right symptoms that result in finding it at an early stage when it is treatable. Putting someone with a cracked rib, or bleeding ulcer or some other such thing into a cath lab for a heart attack they aren’t having, won’t save any more lives. It is a fallacy to think that we can always present ourselves in ER, any ER, in the nick of time to be saved from our bad health. Sometimes it is just way too late. Learn prevention: eat better, sleep adequately, exercise, get regular medical checkups (even if that means forgoing a vacation or other treats so you can afford to pay for it privately). Albertans vote for small government and individualism - that means medicine becomes something you need to provide for yourself. We Canadians are paying for all the cutbacks in the 1990s when conservatives thought all government (and its services of medicine & education) was bloated. Along with the substantially lower taxes individuals and corporations now pay, we are never going to get the higher ratios of medical care we once had. And even so, in the ‘good old days’, even more people died.
