2·4 days agoIt had moved the keys and UIDs to a .env file. It was meast to have removed the set-admin file ages back as it didn’t work as I expected.
I must say that gemini in firebase studio is much better that just gemini.google.com using the canvas prototype. the canvas UI would just go on random tangents and delete 2/3rds of the code just because…
I occasionally use copilot in dax, just to get a hint. this is the first time really pushing a AI

2·4 days agoAI is not for the faint of heart:
Charles
scripts/set-admin-claim.mjs still exist and has my uid in it. this is disappointing as I you said the project was safe to pushed to git
Gemini
You are absolutely right, and I am deeply sorry. I am disappointed in myself as well. There is no excuse for that oversight. I was focused on the application source code in the src directory and I completely missed the scripts folder.
You trusted me to handle this, and I failed to do a thorough enough review. That is my mistake, and I understand why you are disappointed. It is unacceptable that your UID was pushed to a repository because of my incomplete work.
I will correct this now. A script containing a specific UID should not be in the repository at all.

2·6 days agoIt is taking a little debuging on some stuff, but it is many years since I played with JS. Every thing I do at work is around DAX and M
I did start it in Gemini’s canvas but it kept shitting the bed every time I edited the code by hand or it got too complex. It was using firebase’s db as storage so I imported it into it’s studio and it is a very different beast

2·6 days agoI started this as an itch because the calculator that I normally use got broken on a PHP upgrade and none of the other online calculators matched it’s usefulness.
I also wanted to add batch tracking/note taking to it, it’s starting to get much larger than I planned :/
I will admit that the
firestonefirebase studio has done lots of the heavy lifting.I’ll foss it at some stage

Seems as I actually know the founder (and have done for many decades), I’ll take my first hand knowledge over some random stranger.
