This picture gives me some serious “Disco Elysium” vibes.
Ok… so someone finds out you’re gay. Figure to themselves you’re probably having it rough, with all the LGBTQ+ hate thats going around, and are making sure to treat you nicer because of it, or maybe let some things slide that would irk them otherwise -> bigots.

7·4 months agoSince I’m somewhat of a simpleton… isn’t that how pipelines actually work? The only difference being, they’re all (scripts) available from a centralized system and triggered i.e. with webhooks?
Instead of a local script on a server, the system opens i.e. a ssh session and runs the script step by step remotely?
So is that the joke or am I missing something?
Seems to only be true for Google Pixel series, with Android 16 it should come to all Android devices.
I’m in my thirties, and this is me also

9·2 years agoWhile I agree with you completely, the argument for a counter-point would be that exactly because the private company should create as much profit for the owners as possible - it has to be as lean / efficient as possible.
That is not true for “the goverment” as profit is not an encentive to rationalize the work process.
What I find interesting are goverment agencies that operate on both levels. A great example is Ordenance Survey in UK. While they provide a public service, they also sell some of their products commercially to cover some operating costs (hiking maps etc.).
Either you’re on social media, or you don’t exist 🤔
We’ve got some great contenders this year!
- Alan Wake 2
- Baldur’s Gate 3
- Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
- Resident Evil 4
- Super Mario Bros. Wonder
- The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
Who are you voting for (or would vote for) and why?
I wish I had more Jacub Janerka in my life :(

2·2 years agoAww, this brings back memories. :)
A few years back, myself and a friend of mine missed the trail that goes up to Kredarica, and walked the trail at the bottom of the picture, taking us to the Valentina Staniča mountain home with some steep climbs along the way. Getting back to Kredarica took something like three hours. We were exhausted, but the views, oh man, let me tell you…
Nice, and congrats! Could you show an example of original image and ASCII output, as I’m afk atm.

Data Is Beautiful@lemmy.ml•Narew River in Poland on Relative Elevation Model [OC]
1·2 years agoPlease tell me more about “Relative Elevation Model”. Are those elevations in the river’s surroundings relative to the river’s water surface height? Or something else?

Man, I have this debate quite often - usually about “the situation in Sweeden”. Any links available to the article, so I can share with my concerned friends?
