In a world where we have exponentially more compute power in our pockets than it took NASA to get to the moon, where ChatGPT and Google Bard are a thing, how the hell can’t simple traffic flows be figured out by those in charge of them?
The “geniuses” give priority to feeder streets. Lights seem to be timed to miss every single one of them. Sure, the town has grown significantly in the last couple of decades, which doesn’t help, but how the entire system is setup, makes it much, much worse.
It took me about 25 minutes to get from I25 to Timberline today on Harmony, that’s roughly 2.5 miles, with nothing in sight to cause it other than the lights timing. We should be able to drive from one side of town to another, North to South, East to West, even with traffic, in a reasonable amount of time on the major roads through town. I don’t expect to make every single light, but at the same time, missing every single one of them is absurd.
