Name is “风锐净空气净化器CRBOX”. They have multiple models, I bought the “2 Pro”. It consists of a bottom plate with slots for the filters, a top plate with 4x 14 cm fans (max 3100 RPM) preinstalled with a female barrel plug powering them all, 4x 29x29 cm filters with foam seals and built-in metal mesh, plus a variable voltage dc power supply (3.5-12V). They claim a max CADR of 730 m3h/430 cfm (seems believable, it has a certificate from a Chinese lab, plus the numbers add up if we estimate airflow with Noctua Industrial 14 cm fans).

Construction is simple and solid. Stock fans are VERY loud at full blast though, and at 3.5V (~900 RPM?) is still louder than my PC and has resonance noises at certain RPM ranges, as expected for cheap no-name fans. So I just run them constantly at 3.5V (in a smaller room of course).

The big plus is that it is extremely easy to mod. The fan screws are all easily accessible, the fans are held on only by the screws and some interconnecting metal plates, plus the fan grills are removable too. I am planning to fan swap to Noctua’s next gen 14 cm fans (maybe 5V + PWM fan controller so I can power them via USB) when they eventually come out, but you should be able to swap to fans like the Arctic P14 too (just need a DC barrel plug to fan plug adaptor).

They have models with 2 fans, 1 fan, and an upgraded “3” range too (the upgrade is just some different, better performing fans that come with built-in fan grills. No thanks, I’ll save the money and get free wire fan grills since I’m planning to do a fan swap anyway).

I have seen a similarly designed product with recessed 12 cm fans, but that seems more difficult to mod (and why use 12 cm fans when you can use 14 cm ones?) so I didn’t go for that option.
