I’m trying to set up retroachievements for PSCX2 on my steam deck via retrodeck, but I’m not sure it’s working. What game has an achievement that is very easy to unlock and can be unlocked almost immediately, to make it easy to test?

Nice! I managed to find and fix my issue, so won’t be needing this after all. It’s good to keep in mind if I have more issues though! Or if I just want some easy cheevos 😄

GTA3 might have one for completing the tutorial mission, but even then, there’s probably something quicker

I can’t really answer your question, but just know that achievements are often linkend to a specific version of a game.

I bought the european version of Sega Superstar Tennis thinking it would have retroachievements only to discover it was only for the US version.

Ah yeah, I discovered that the hard way recently haha. Definitely worth keeping in mind. Seems like it’s usually the US version of games that are supported

Update: I managed to find and fix my issue. Turns out PSCX2 thought I wasn’t logged in, even though I was. So I logged out and back in again and it sorted itself.

I found it out by opening PSCX2 directly, going to Tools > enable log window. Then I launched the game and looked at the log window and saw a section starting with the word Achievements, and it said something along the lines of “skipping check as we’re not logged in”.

Hopefully this will be some help to someone in the future!
