The other day I was just randomly downloading a bunch of movies after my son got some crazy antenna amplifier for Wi-Fi internet and one of them was toy story 5. and while I was not around and my daughter tried to watch it and apparently, I didn’t realize it said.exe at the end. I’m like you didn’t enter any passwords did you. She’s like no. I was like was there pop-ups that said to do anything she’s like Yes. she’s like I didn’t click on them. Then I had to have my son come over and Check everything out. He said basically because I was on Linux that it tried to run some shit but it couldn’t utilize shit it had needed to run it. So lucky catch but I’m like how did I fall for the oldest trick in the book? I mean this is the shit they were pulling back online with lime wire and before and here I am 2 or 3 decades later and nonchalantly downloading every other popular movie I can find, and I’m like oh yeah I got this movie you might like, so I couldn’t really blame the daughter, but I’m like man. I better start paying more attention to what the fuck I’m putting in my queue because I felt like a fucking pleb. I’m moving from unc status up to gramp status apparently. But hey, at least I’m on Linux now! It’s a bit of a learning curve but hell I will never go back to Windows if I have any say about it!
