To be fair the overton window in Canada has shifted significantly in the last 20 years. Carney and Harper are roughly the same brand of neoliberalism.
Don’t get me wrong, PP is a disaster. But the left, anything even remotely resembled the left, has essentially crumbled to dust… and everything just drifts right.

The only difference between them is who the “other guy” was/is. Harper was 100x worse than Layton. PP is 100x worse than Carney.
Tend to agree, yeah. Carney doesn’t appear as anti-democratic as Harper, so far. Harper muzzled scientists, removed per-vote subsidies, fucked around with donation rules to advantage the CPC, etc. Apart from that there’s a lot of similarities between the two, especially on the economic front. The overton window has def shifted and that’s harming us.
