Safety is ehhhh. I drive an MX-5 in the world of giant trucks. I have to drive aggressively just so I can be seen by these assholes.

I wasn’t suggesting the vehicles are safer to be in in a collision, I’m saying it’s safer to be hit by one.

Oh I wasn’t just saying anything about safety, I’m saying it’s scary AF to drive a sports car among these giant pieces of shit. It forces one to drive like an asshole for survival.

Outspoken conservatives hate EVs. Outspoken liberals hate Tesla/Musk. Then there’s 100 million Americans don’t beleive they have power in elections and don’t vote. A significant portion of conservative voters don’t beleive they have anything to vote for besides “lower taxes”. Somewhere in this combination/adjacent group is the group of people who keep buying Tesla and do not give a shit about anything other than flashy tech and/or low fuel costs.

It will forever irritate me that the “Ford F- Series” includes everything with the F-### badge (which, for the first time I’ve ever noticed, is stated outright at the bottom). It always seems poised to represent the F-150 daily laptop hauler, but it includes F-250 through F-450 pickups which are more commonly commercial vehicles than private, F-350+ conversion body commercial trucks like dumps and flats, and goes so far as to include F-750s, the biggest ones with air brakes and real 19.5" truck wheels.
