The previous five missions have all gone to competitor Axiom, which (like Vast) is building its own private station vying to replace the ISS.

    I’m glad Vast got PAM 6 after Axiom did 1-4 and won 5. As weird as it seems for it to not be SpaceX booking these, hopefully it’s a good learning experience for Vast.

      Yeah, glad to see that another group in addition to Axiom will get some experience on station before ISS retirement.

      What incentive would SpaceX have to book these? They’re not really competing in the crewed LEO market, are they?

        SpaceX has done 3 private Dragon free flyers. They could easily do these ISS missions without a middleman. They aren’t hurting for experience, though, so I guess they’re less motivated to deal with the passengers and paperwork.
