Just a heads-up, we will be migrating servers tomorrow, Jan 3 2026.
The database has already been copied and has replication configured to keep it up to date until the cutover, so downtime should be minimal.
I’ll update this post when the maintenance starts and ends.
For some background information, we’re moving from a legacy cluster of servers that isn’t very well maintained anymore. This should let us get rid of a few random workarounds/bandaids as well, and hopefully end up with a more stable solution.

This is going to be starting soon. Just doing a few last minute checks and then we’ll stop lemmy on the old servers, promote the new db server, start lemmy on the new servers again.
Live on the new environment. CDN is also disabled at least temporarily. Doing some additional testing.

Also leaving the CDN off for now. It might affect speeds some, but we’ll see.
