2·1 day agoIt will be interesting to see how the MPAA tackles Hotfile now that they are restricted in the language they can use. It probably means that the term “copyright infringement” will be used more often than they had hoped.

It’s not theft. It’s copying or copyright infringement.
If it was theft, the owners wouldn’t have it anymore.
The words matter because they change your moral intuition about it.
And then you pick what you thought was a harmless dialogue option, but instead it sets off a cutscene where you’ve insulted the Emperor and now must murder everyone in order to survive.

The Romans were experts at fortifications and siege warfare.
Whenever a Roman army would camp for the night, a large part of the army would build a wooden fort which would usually be finished in a day. A Roman army on the march were described as “moving cities”.
One example is the Siege of Alesia where the Romans built a wall to trap the Gauls then built another wall to protect themselves from new Gallic reinforcements who came to break the Romans’ siege.
It was a siege where the besiegers were sieged by both new besiegers and the besieged but the besiegers won the siege anyway.

I don’t get why so many people get actually angry about this.

1·1 month agoAn alternative wouldn’t just have to be close to discord, it would have to actually be better so people use it.
There’s always the possibility Discord goes the Microsoft route: making themselves worse.
